Terms of Service

Last updated: 29 July 2026

1. About these terms

These terms are an agreement between you and Haidar Web Services Ltd ("BookAGym", "we", "us"), registered in England and Wales, company no. 17327578, registered office 71-75 Shelton Street, Covent Garden, London, WC2H 9JQ, United Kingdom. BookAGym is a trading name of that company, which operates the BookAGym platform. By creating an account or making a booking you accept these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the platform. Questions: support@bookagym.app.

2. What BookAGym is

BookAGym is a marketplace that connects members with independent gyms, clubs and academies. The gym — not BookAGym — provides the class, session, membership or other service and is responsible for it. We provide the booking, payment and messaging tools that make that connection work. We are not party to the service itself between you and the gym.

3. Your account

You must give accurate details, keep your login secure, and be at least 18 to hold an account. You are responsible for activity under your account. We may suspend or close accounts that breach these terms or are used for fraud or abuse.

4. One-off payments and the service fee (customers)

When you make a one-off payment (for example a drop-in class, shop order or other single purchase), you pay the gym's price plus a £1 service fee per payment. When you hold a membership bought as a subscription through the platform, the subscription carries a £5 per month Progress Tracker charge per plan(one charge covers the whole plan, including family plans) which includes full access to the app's member features. The price you see at checkout is the total you pay. Payment is taken securely through Stripe; we do not store your card details. Our fees and prices may change from time to time, but the price shown to you at the time of booking is always the price that applies to that booking.

5. Cancellations, refunds and no-shows (customers)

  • You can cancel free of charge up to 24 hours before your class or session and the amount you paid for it is refunded.
  • The £1 service fee is generally non-refundable, as it pays for holding your place.
  • If you do not turn up (a no-show) or cancel late, the gym's cancellation policy applies and some or all of the amount may not be refunded.
  • If a gym cancels on you, you are refunded in full for that class or session.

Refunds are returned to your original payment method via Stripe and may take a few days to appear.

6. Gym terms

If you sign up as a gym, club or academy, the following also apply to you:

  • Subscription. Listing and taking bookings requires an active platform subscription, billed monthly at the price shown when you sign up, after any free trial. You can cancel at any time and your subscription stays active until the end of the period you have paid for. If your subscription lapses, your gym can no longer take new public bookings until it is reactivated.
  • Payouts via Stripe. You receive payment for your services directly through your connected Stripe account, minus Stripe's fees and our platform fee. You are responsible for completing Stripe's identity and business verification.
  • Platform fee. We retain a small platform fee per booking in addition to the member service fee, as disclosed in your dashboard.
  • Changes to fees and subscription pricing. We may change our platform fee, subscription price and other gym charges. We'll give you advance notice of any increase that affects you — shown in your dashboard and by email — before it takes effect, so you can decide whether to continue.
  • Your responsibilities. You are responsible for the services you provide, your prices, your availability, your own insurance and licences, and for complying with the law (including health, safety and consumer rights). You must honour bookings accepted through the platform and handle your members' data lawfully.
  • Tax and registration. You are an independent business, not our employee, worker or agent. You are responsible for registering with HMRC as appropriate (for example as self-employed/a sole trader or a company), for your own tax, National Insurance and VAT, and for keeping your own records. BookAGym does not deduct tax from your payouts.

7. Acceptable use

Do not misuse the platform: no fraud, no attempting to bypass payment, no harassment, no uploading content you do not have the right to use, and no interfering with the platform's security or operation.

8. Content you upload

You keep ownership of photos and content you upload, but grant us a licence to host and display it as needed to run the platform. You are responsible for having the rights to anything you upload.

9. Our liability

Because the gym provides the actual service, we are not liable for the quality, safety or outcome of any class, session or membership, or for supervision, instruction or the condition of any premises or equipment. We provide the platform "as is" and, to the extent permitted by law, are not liable for indirect or unforeseeable losses. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited — including your statutory rights as a consumer.

10. Ending these terms

You can stop using the platform and close your account at any time. We may suspend or end your access if you breach these terms. Closing an account does not affect bookings or payments already made.

11. Changes and governing law

We may update these terms from time to time; the "last updated" date above will change. These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have jurisdiction.
